we are a church plant
Christ the King is a daughter church of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia. We began meeting for Sunday worship in 2025, and would love for you to join us.
We are a church. We're not perfect. We are a congregation of people created in the image of God, but fallen in sin, but being redeemed by Jesus! We don't get together with each other on Sundays because we all agree on everything. We're actually quite different. But we all have Jesus in common, and that is enough.
We worship together, because worship is the center of everything. And we worship together because Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords, and he is worthy of our worship!
New. But also old.
We are a new church plant, so there is a lot of new. And that is exciting.
But there is also a lot of old. We are deeply rooted in the Christian tradition. Our liturgy has historic elements that the church has used for centuries. We use the ecumenical creeds and we align with the doctrine in the Westminster Confession of Faith.
We are a member congregation of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
